A tower speaker sold through Australia Post stores has been recalled because it does not comply with Australian Electrical Safety Standards and presents a risk of fire.
The ISENSE 60-watt Tower Speaker (product code 65220) was sold at Australia Post outlets nationwide between 1 July 2014 and 11 August 2014. The speaker was promoted in Australia Post’s Father’s Day catalogue.
“Consumers who have purchased the ISENSE Tower Speaker from an Australia Post retail outlet or received the product as a gift should cease using it immediately and return it to an Australia Post Office for a full refund,” reports the ACCC Product Recalls website.
Australia Post apologised for any inconvenience caused by this recall.
According to the Product Recalls website, ISENSE is a brand supplied by Australia Post for sale at its own outlets. No ISENSE branded products are currently listed for sale on the Australia Post website. An internet search reveals that similar products branded I-Sense, Isense and iSense have been sold on various online auction and clearance site.
