For the first time.

With the rapid growth of the French Door refrigerator segment, Samsung is focused on introducing products leading in design and convenience, so in the coming months, the company will roll out its first ever flat door, counter-depth French Door refrigerator.

The company is responding to its internal research that shows 91% of Australian consumers want customisable space in their refrigerator.

Samsung Australia director of home appliances, Jeremy Senior (pictured above with the Samsung Family Hub) told Appliance Retailer, “Our new refrigerator will fit perfectly into most homes and provides Australian consumers with an alternate design unlike anything we have offered before. As the leader in refrigerator in Australia, Samsung has driven the category with new innovations that are designed for Australian living.”

At CES in January, Samsung announced the second generation of its Family Hub refrigerators, which will arrive in retail stores later in the year.

“People are seeking more appliances that match the design of their interior décor and their lifestyles and Samsung offers more options when purchasing major appliances. We were the first to include sparkling water dispensers, with our Samsung French Door refrigeration range, and now we are giving Australians even more choice with infused chilled water. Australians can now have chilled water on demand, through our unique auto refill dispenser,” Senior added.

The French Door refrigerators will feature Twin Cooling technology, which is now being filtered down through the Samsung range to make the technology more accessible to Australians at varying price points. It will be available in two colours including Samsung’s unique black stainless steel and stainless steel.

Pricing, size and availability will be released closer to local launch.
