Smeg Australia has confirmed the appointment of three new national channel managers: David Debs, Bret Quinn and Mark Churcher.

Debs (pictured below) who has been with the company for eight years initially as senior account manager and then state manager, has filled the role of national channel manager retail for the Narta group. He has over 25 years of industry experience having worked with Nilfisk-Advance and Bosch prior to joining Smeg.

Quinn (pictured below) has been welcomed as national channel manager retail for The Good Guys after spending 11 years as manager of the Campbelltown store, owned by his father Dick Quinn at the time, before buying into the franchise when his father retired. He then held the position of joint venture partner, running the business for six years, until its buy-back by Andrew Muir in 2016.

Churcher (pictured below) is national channel manager retail to the Derni Group, bringing 25 years of experience to his new position. His previous roles include cooking specialist with Sydney Appliance Centre and Winning Appliances, store manager at Cliver Peeters, before joining Harvey Norman as business development manager. He then became the franchisee at the Harvey Norman Domayne Kitchen Appliance Specialist store in Alexandria.

Smeg managing director, Jim Kalotheos said, “All three gentlemen were hired not only for their technical ability but because of their cultural fit to our organisation. We are very excited about their development and potential for success.”
