Chairman takes on a new role.

Narta executive chairman Kay Spencer has accepted a new role within the organisation as Non-Executive Chairman, following an announcement made to suppliers and retailers.

The announcement, obtained by Appliance Retailer, states that, “Kay Spencer has advised the board from 1 July 2017 she will be stepping down from her role as the Executive Chairman of Narta, thus relinquishing her day to day operational activities.”

The announcement continued, “The Board has invited and offered Kay the role of Non-Executive Chairman of Narta Australia and New Zealand, to which she has accepted. Therefore, the CEO Michael Jackson will be responsible for the full operational leadership and management of the day-to-day activities of the Narta group.”

Appliance Retailer understands that the change will allow Spencer to provide mentoring of senior management, ongoing business development and for a smooth transition with all other board and management roles remaining unchanged.

Appliance Retailer also understands that Spencer will continue to work with the CEO on the group’s global retail and supplier relationship networks including a number of exclusive brands sold through the group.

Narta CEO Michael Jackson told Appliance Retailer, “Kay will still remain heavily involved and add substantial value to Narta moving forward and I am excited to be part of the group’s continued growth and development.”
