Presentations highlight brand messages and product.

Harvey Norman suppliers were invited to present to proprietors from Australia and New Zealand to highlight their key messages and latest product innovations. Australian entertainer, Andrew O’Keefe was the host of the presentations.

AEG

After making its debut at IFA in Berlin in 2016, AEG confirmed that its Mastery cooking range and ComfortLift dishwasher will be arriving in the Australian market in October. There will also be a new washing machine and dryer that will launch in the coming weeks.

AEG also presented the Harvey Norman AEG Store of the Year award to Darren Harrison from Harvey Norman Springvale in Victoria.

Vintec national sales manager, Chris Horne then discussed the importance and growth opportunities available to the wine cabinet division.

Electrolux

Electrolux reiterated its strong brand stable including Simpson, Westinghouse, Chef, Kelvinator and Dishlex. The latest Westinghouse French Door refrigerator with a 605 litre capacity within an 89cm footprint was on display. Electrolux brand ambassador, Massimo Mele performed a cooking demonstration for attendees.

Philips

Philips outlined its recent transition in go-to-market strategy, which has resulted in a larger local team. It has also allowed for more control over strategic categories, continued growth and for the company to become more customer-centric. There will be new Philips products in oral health care, air treatment, air fryer and garment care categories released ahead of Christmas.

Samsung

Samsung strives to develop the ‘Home of the Future’ highlighting its most recent innovations including the Family Hub refrigerator, TwinWash and AddWash washing machines, PowerBot robotic vacuum cleaner, The Frame TV and Sound+ soundbar. National training representatives from Samsung explained the features and benefits of each of the products.

Smeg

Smeg presented in a TV newsroom format with ‘The Partnership’ to mark a 25 year business relationship with Harvey Norman. In 2018, Smeg celebrates its 70 year anniversary. The Dolce Stil Novo range and Portafino cookers will be rolled out in retail stores in 2018.

Sunbeam

Sunbeam held a Trans-Tasman competition with Harvey Norman proprietors from Australia and New Zealand. There were three challenges including a singing competition, memory game and speed game involving its Christmas 2017 product line-up that includes a new breakfast collection, coffee machine, air fryer and FoodSaver Fresh.
