Smeg has opened up a wealth of opportunity with an extended offering of 70cm wide appliances for consumers with limited space and big expectations. Available in two design aesthetics, Smeg’s 70cm ovens deliver the same 90 litre capacity as their 90cm counterparts, saving 20cm of kitchen cabinet space. These “kitchens without borders” the company said are a major trend in Australian kitchens. It is a similar story with gas cooktops. Some of Smeg’s 70cm and 75cm models sport five burners, and like the 90cm models and are available in Victoria, Classic and Linear designs.
According to Smeg, while the ovens take less space they don’t skimp on features. Like the 90cm models, Smeg’s 70cm versions have optional pyrolytic cleaning, Thermoseal oven technology, up to 17 cooking functions, high visibility glass and more than 50 SmartSense Plus automatic menus.
Design choice is a critical factor when planning a kitchen and Smeg offers a large selection in design aesthetics including Classic stainless steel or the contemporary Linear in white, black or stainless steel Stopsol reflective glass.
