BrandIndex operates at national and international levels tracking public perception of brands, checking their performance against competitors.

Brand advocacy scores are calculated by measuring recommended scores among each brand’s customers for the 12-month period through to October 2016 by asking: “Would you recommend the brand to a friend or family member, or that you recommend that a friend or family member avoid the brand?” Scores are calculated by subtracting the negative responses from the positive responses.

Respondents are drawn from the YouGov BrandIndex online panel of four million consumers across 32 countries. It currently covers 260 brands in Australia.
