Kenwood has announced the launch of the Kenwood Cooks Collective – a nationwide search for skilled home bakers and cooks who are keen to share their creative journey in the kitchen and work with Australia’s best chefs, food stylists, food photographers and social media superstars.

A socially-led campaign, the Kenwood Cooks Collective asks consumers to share a picture or video of their best baking tip, trick or technique in action, tag Kenwood Australia and include the hashtag #KenwoodCooksCo.

Taking place on Saturday 7 October and Sunday 8 October, the Kenwood Cooks Collective will give ten shortlisted winners the opportunity to meet Kenwood ambassador, executive pastry chef at the Shangri-La, and Accommodation Australia 2017 Chef of the Year, Anna Polyviou (pictured below), who will share her top tips which participants can put straight into practice. Social media success story and baking extraordinaire, Nick Makrides from The Scran Line will also be on hand to share how he built a winning brand via social media.

“All kinds of cooks and bakers start in their kitchens at home – being creative and innovative, discovering what they can do, and creating yummy goods (and aromas!) for loved ones,” Polyviou said.

“Are you that person, but do you want to take it up to the next level and rock it in the kitchen while cooking like a pro, having fun and being creative? Enter the Kenwood Cooks Collective to win. Really you have to be in it to win it.”

Joining Polyviou and Makrides is food stylist for delicious. magazine, Kirsten Jenkins, and celebrated food photographer Nikki To, who will both share insights into their professions, how they work and advice on how to create stunningly styled, fantastic photographs.

To trade up their skills and their audiences, participants will also be gifted a Kenwood Chef XL Titanium Kitchen Machine (RRP $1,199) plus attachments as well as a social media fund of $2,000 to boost their social presence.

After a weekend of inspiration the participants will get to partake in the Titanium Challenge. As part of the challenge and to become the ultimate Kenwood Cooks Collective winner, the ten winners will be tasked with putting the weekend’s lessons to work and creating, styling and shooting their best creation to win a starring role in the next Kenwood campaign.
