Hisense has introduced its first online retail training platform, Hisense Online Learning, to enable sales staff to get up to speed with the company’s latest product offerings whether in the office or on-the-go.
Accessible via desktop and mobile, the new platform takes advantage of an award-winning learning management system from leading Australian-based microlearning platform, EdApp.
In a statement shared with Appliance Retailer, Hisense Australia national retail training manager, Chris Mayer said, “COVID-19 has changed the world as we know it. As one of Australia’s leading consumer electronics and home appliance brands, we have been working very hard during this time to support our customers, employees and retailers.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to our retail partners, improving retail training for sales teams during this period has been a key focus. While retail roadshows are no longer possible in-person, ensuring that sales staff have the confidence they need to close a deal is important to us.

“We are particularly excited about the mobile offering for iOS and Android users, as it means retail employees will have everything they need to know about our products in the palm of their hand – from key user benefits, to features and innovations – even while on the shop floor. The easy-to-use interface and interactivity also make the platform a useful and reliable resource that can be accessed at any time.
“A variety of training modules are already available via the platform, encompassing categories such as ULED TV, Laser TV, soundbars, refrigeration, air conditioning and laundry. Additional modules will be available as new products are launched in-market, providing retail staff with access to the latest product and technology information, ensuring they are on the front foot when curious customers come in-store.
“We also understand that retail staff are often time poor, so, rather than thinking of training as a time-intensive burden, we want to empower sales staff with key information to help them close a sale quicker.
“Retail staff that would like to be amongst the first to trial the platform should reach out to their local Hisense account manager or enquire with their employer’s training leader.”
