Simon Pepper, national sales manager at Sharp Australia, has announced his resignation after a successful 18 year career with the company.
In an interview with Appliance Retailer this morning, Pepper stated that “I’m leaving the company on a good note; I’ve had a wonderful career over the years.”
The reason for Pepper’s departure is to pursue a new career path with fast moving consumer goods company, Helen of Troy, where he will take on the role as national sales manager.
Pepper commented “I’m leaving to pursue new opportunities and challenge myself in my career.”
Denis Kerr, deputy managing director of Sharp Australia, commented “Simon leaves us on good terms. There is no animosity and this is a great opportunity for him to obtain experience in another industry and spread his wings outside of Sharp. We would love to see him back at Sharp in a senior role at some stage in the future.”
Pepper will remain at Sharp until January 26, when he will take 2 weeks off to undergo training in the UK, before his commencement.
“No replacement has been confirmed at this stage – we are in the process of looking at the moment” stated Kerr.
