SYDNEY: HP has appointed Janice Cox as vice president and general manager for the company’s Personal Systems Group, South Pacific.
Cox replaces Tony Bill who was promoted to vice president of commercial volume sales for HP Asia Pacific and Japan in September 2008.
Cox will be responsible for HP’s personal systems business across the South Pacific region encompassing Australia and New Zealand. This includes sales and marketing across the entire Personal Systems Group portfolio, which covers HP’s commercial and consumer notebooks and desktops, monitors, workstations, thin client, handhelds and internet appliances.
“The Personal Systems Group is in a strong position within the South Pacific region, showing market leadership, growth and innovation,” said Cox, in a statement today. “The PSG South Pacific team is exceptionally talented and we have solid relationships with our channel partners, providing us with the platform to maintain our leadership and deliver the very best to our customers.”
Prior to this role, Cox was the volume sales director for HP Australia and was responsible for sales and marketing programs, generating demand and growing HP’s overall customer base.
Cox has also previously held a number of leadership positions with HP including Channel & Personal Systems Group sales director, sales manager for Compaq Australia and NSW Channels sales manager for Compaq Australia.
