SYDNEY: Samsung has this morning announced the release of three new series of digital photo frames. These new models are currently available only through Harvey Norman and Bing Lee stores.
Digital photo frames have a been a surprise hit in the marketplace recently, with the multi-function devices replacing the slide projector as the shutterbug’s principal showtime utensil.
There are four new models within the new Samsung ranges, which are known as H-Series, P-Series and V-Series. This last one is the top-of-the-line, and features two models, an 8-inch and a 10-inch.
Features of the V-Series include multiple video and picture playback options, wireless connectivity and 64 megabytes of built-in memory. This seems a low amount of memory, but the wireless connectivity provides the real source of the images, with users able to stream content from a PC or social networking website.
In a paragraph that contains a remarkable eight adjectives or adverbs, a Samsung spokesperson said of this release, “Samsung’s leading-edge screen technology ensures your memories are vibrantly displayed. A glossy black bezel, subtle patterning and rounded edges make these digital photo frames an elegant choice or special gift.”
The four models are priced thus:
V-Series 10-inch – RRP $399
V-Series 8-inch – RRP $349
P-Series – RRP $299
H-Series – RRP $249
