EASTERN CREEK, NSW: Last night Fujitsu General welcomed 200 guests to the official opening of its new Eastern Creek office, which it has taken a 10-year lease on.
Channel 7’s Sunrise program presenter Mark Beretta was the MC for the evening and he introduced speeches from Fujitsu General deputy managing director, Philip Perham; Fujitsu General managing director, Shuichi Takada; and former Australian cricket captain and Fujitsu General ambassador, Mark ‘Tubby’ Taylor.
Fujitsu General Managing Director, Shuichi Takada, led the traditional Japanese sake barrel cracking ceremony and was joined by Philip Perham, Mark Taylor and Non-Executive Chairman of Fujitsu General’s Australian operation, Etsuro Saito. The four VIPs each used a ceremonial wooden mallet to simultaneously crack open the wooden lid to the traditional sake barrel.
Taylor recalled how his 11-year association with Fujitsu General as brand ambassador began with an offer to install his Fujitsu General air conditioning at his home for free in exchange for the company using his photos in some promotional materials. The association was a hit and then for the next 10 years since, Taylor has been the face of Fujitsu General air conditioning.
Beretta said that when he and his wife were going to put a new air conditioning system in their house recently, the decision was made easy when his wife said that they will go with the one ‘Tubby’ has — a Fujitsu.
Fujitsu General moved into this Eastern Creek facility from Arndell Park where it was based for 10 years. The move was instigated by the need for more warehouse space as a result of Fujitsu General’s significant growth over the past five years. As well as a 30 percent increase in space, the warehouse offers improved functionality for loading and unloading stock, enabling the business to operate more efficiently.
Integral to the new premises is a state-of-the-art 46 person Variable Refrigerant Flow training facility, providing an enhanced environment in which to train and demonstrate these specialised commercial air conditioning systems to its customers.
“The new premises have presented us with much needed warehouse space to better manage our logistical and storage needs, with the ultimate aim being to improve delivery of our stock commitments to our valued customers,” said Perham.
“As well as unveiling our brand new facilities, the event was a great opportunity for us to touch base with our many retailers and customers and thank them for their continued support.”
