SYDNEY, NSW: Naomi Scesny joins Breville as a food preparation specialist. Scesny’s role will see her working across multiple platforms from product input and testing, to online content, marketing and even recipe development.

Scesny is no stranger to the trade, arriving at Breville with over 20 years of food industry experience including a recent tenure as the manager of the sensory quality kitchen at Woolworths and seven years with Sunbeam as a senior home economist where she worked under Damian Court in the marketing team.

Scesny said she was excited to be working with ‘the food thinkers’. “I’ve been lucky to work in some of the best test kitchens in Australia and I’m very much looking forward to getting back into the appliance world,” said Scesny.

“It’s a great feeling to be involved in shaping the kitchen appliances of the future.”

The food preparation category has recently burgeoned in Australia as a result of the home ‘cocooning’  behaviour displayed by consumers impacted by the GFC, as well as the popularity of cooking shows such as MasterChef.

Breville appointed another ex-Sunbeam employee, Craig Dais, as global distribution manager in February.
