SYDNEY, NSW: The HTC HD7 will be unveiled in one week, with Telstra co-hosting the launch event for this new Windows 7 Mobile handset on Wednesday 23 March 2011.
Whilst it is not uncommon for telco partners to be present at a press conference announcing the release of a new mobile phone, it is not often the telco throws open the doors to actually host the function. That’s what’s happening this time, with Telstra welcoming the media to its ‘Experience Centre’ (read: shop) on George Street for a mid-morning gabfest.

HTC country manager Ben Hodgson and Telstra acting director, mobility products, Andrew Volard will be there answering the tough questions. One answer is already clear: Telstra will soon be selling the HD7. Whilst it’s not definitely that Optus and Vodafone will be frozen out, the location of this location is a near certain indicator.
