SYDNEY, NSW: The deal between technology company Acer, and content providers Dymocks and EMI Australasia will offer customers books and music via the A500 Iconia Tab, the latest tablet released by Acer.

The venture will see the distribution of the tablet in selected Dymocks stores nationwide as well as online whilst offering Dymocks a digital book offering. Acer will be promoting the deal by offering $100 worth of free content in the form of an eGift voucher redeemable online for Dymocks e-books and music content from The In Song, managed by EMI.

Charles Chung, managing director, Acer said, “This partnership will allow us to deliver customers with access to home grown content that was previously not available to them. Our aim is to offer smooth and quick access to Australian content that is not only instant but is also easy to carry around.”

Dymocks CEO, Don Grover said the new offering is the next stage for the company. 

“With over 200,000 eBooks on the Dymocks website, our customers will be able to utilise the new Dymocks eBook App for Android with the latest technology from Acer to enjoy books in new and exciting ways,” said Grover.

The Iconia Tab A500 runs on Google Android Honeycomb 3.0 and is available in 16 GB and 32 GB versions.
