SYDNEY, NSW: BenQ has today released a new camcorder, the M11 (RRP $249). This camcorder is being positioned as a value-for-money unit with functional features rather than the more arcane options present at the high end.

Features of the M11 include a 10-megapixel CMOS sensor, 5X optical zoom and a 3-inch LED touchscreen. There’s also time-lapse recording and slow-mo options, plus a 3-second pre-record function for action that comes out of nowhere.

Here’s BenQ Australia GM and leading industry romantic Chee F Chung.

“The M11 Camcorder allows you to record a flower bloom, a rainstorm approach or a sunset in time-lapse mode and then play it back at accelerated speed for dynamic video imagery,” opined Chung, recalling the great romance poets such Byron, Shelley and Keats.

“Nature like you’ve never seen it before can be captured and stored on the M11 Camcorder.  Amateur photographers will love experimenting with the time-lapse function but so too will kids.”

The M11 has no in-built memory, with all video and images stored on an SD or SDHC card, up to 32GB.
