New ViewSonic projectors for business, education and training

ViewSonic has release seven new projector models: four in its 7 Series range and three in its Pro 8 Series. Series 7 is aimed at the education and training sector whilst Pro 8 is targeted at business consumers.

The new models in the 7 Series are: PJD7383 (RRP $1,999), PJD7383i (RRP $2,199), PJD7583w (RRP $2,099) and PJD7583wi (RRP $2,299). And new to the Pro 8 Series: Pro8500 (RRP $4,499), Pro8450w (RRP $3,999), Pro8400 (RRP $4,699).

Speaking about the 7 Series is ViewSonic country manager William Tse.

“Educators need to continually update teaching methods to effectively communicate and capture classroom attention,” Tse said. “The ViewSonic 7 Series projectors incorporate new features that will be of most benefit to teachers, promoting improved class participation. In particular, the ability to improvise an interactive whiteboard at a click away is something that needs to be personally experienced and customers will see its potential.”

CRA recruits leading supplier for car conferences

Commercial Radio Australia (CRA) has recruited Anthony Sethill, chief executive of DAB+ chip maker Frontier Silicon, to speak at its Automotive Workshops in Sydney and Melbourne. The CRA is eager to expand the inclusion of digital radio in motor vehicles.

Frontier Silicon currently supplies Pure, Samsung, Grundig, Bose, Bang & Olufsen and Philips, amongst others, with components for their digital radio products.

Philips frying on air

Philips has released its Airfryer model into the Australian market. This benchtop appliance uses the patented rapid air technology to combine hot air with a gill component to fry food.

An in-built timer lets users pre-set cooking time for up to 30 minutes and there is an adjustable temperature control. The included food separator accessory means users can prepare multiple foodstuffs at the same time.

The Philips Airfryer, which is in the running for a 2011 Australian International Design Award, is RRP $329.
