Maxwell International Australia’s parent company, DayMen Group, has acquired the Joby brand of photography accessories. Maxwell was already the distributor of Joby in Australia.

Local MD John Swainston said this agreement should lead to greater innovation.

“We have had the privilege of growing the Joby brand here in Australia for the past three years,” he said. “Tens of thousands of Joby Gorillapod camera supports are in daily use, as are a growing number of GorillaMobile supports for Apple iPad and iPhone devices.

“DayMen and Joby working together is doubtless going to bring further innovative lifestyle electronics and photo accessories, all of which is good news for consumers and Australian retailers alike.”
