SYDNEY, NSW: BenQ has released three new products in its digital camera and camcorder ranges today, with all three products coming in below the $200 price point.

The new range includes the P1410 and S1430 compact cameras – both of which offer anti-shake software and creative shooting modes such as Toy Mode, Colour Accent and Fish Eye – as well as the M23 Camcorder which records in Full HD 1080p resolution and features an LED torch for shooting in low-light situations. All three models feature 3-inch touch screen displays.

Speaking about the new products was general manager for BenQ Australia, Chee F. Chung.

“BenQ continues to improve and advance their optical technology in what is becoming a comprehensive range of digital cameras and camcorders in this marketplace,” said Chung.

“We have demonstrated in our current product offering the clever use of software to deliver amazing visual effects, giving BenQ a clear point of difference in the market and reinforcing our key message that ‘enjoyment matters’.

“BenQ’s new cameras and camcorders provide Australian consumers with unlimited creativity and flexibility in a product that provides them with the ability to take polished, and very professional looking images and video for very little outlay,” she said.

The S1430 camera features a 14-megapixel sensor and 5x optical zoom, as well as an optical image stabiliser that works with the anti-shake software to minimise image blur. The higher end 14-megapixel P1410 features 7x optical zoom and a 28-millimetre wide angle lens which is capable of capturing objects up to 15 metres away.

The S1430 is available for RRP $149…

…while the P1410 is RRP $179.

The M23 camcorder features 5x optical zoom, a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor and two SD card slots for additional memory capacity, with the camera able to automatically shift recording to the second card when the first is full. In addition, Night Mode shooting optimises the camcorder for shooting in low light situations while the Motion Detection feature automatically begins filming with a subject moves.

The M23 is available for RRP $199.
