The projector offers 2,000 lumens of brightness, a 300,000:1 contrast ration and full 1080p resolution. According to Panasonic, “it is also one of the world’s first 3D projectors to use transparent LCD panels driven at an impressive 480Hz which, combined with Panasonic’s original Overdrive Technology, significantly reduces crosstalk."

“With the PT-AE7000E’s key 3D projection technologies developed in collaboration with Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory engineers who have taken key roles in establishing the industry standards for 3D, the device has been created from the ground up to achieve superior 2D performance as well as deliver unique 3D features for a studio-grade 3D experience in the home,” added Maw.

The projector features 2D to 3D conversion (capable of converting 2D content into 5 different 3D modes), 3 HDMI inputs that allow users to switch easily between different HD sources, and a lamp life of up to 5,000 hours in eco mode.

The PT-AE7000E Full HD 3D home theatre projector is available for RRP $4,179. For a limited time, Panasonic is also offering two complimentary sets of 3D eyewear (medium size, RRP $169) bundled with purchase.
