Since announcing its new board for the Asia Pacific region, the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) has farewelled its executive director after eight years at the company.
Stephen Miller stepped down from the role, effective 1 March 2013, and will be replaced by new incoming executive director for CEDIA Asia Pacific, Clare Ward.
“I’m leaving CEDIA on such a high note after over eight years having delivered my key objectives to grow membership, help with the alignment of CEDIA internationally, develop CEDIA in China and bring the industry together, as we’ve done with the Integrate partnership,” said Miller, referring to CEDIA’s new partnership with the Integrate AV and IT expo.
“I will miss the amazing people that have been so much a part of my everyday life whilst moving on to new business opportunities beyond CEDIA,” he said.

Speaking about the appointment of the new ED was CEDIA Asia Pacific chairman, Len Wallis
“We know that Stephen and Clare have worked alongside each other with CEDIA’s Global Alignment in the past year to create a strong business plan to ensure the sustainable future of CEDIA Asia Pacific,” said Wallis.
“I am confident that the entire membership will join me in thanking Stephen for what he has achieved during his time as Executive Director. Through sheer dedication and hard work Stephen has developed CEDIA Asia Pacific from a few passionate members with limited access to services, into a dynamic well developed member association.”
