Every Friday on Current.com.au, the team will choose the most impressive new product from the preceding week to be named our Product of the Week. The main criteria for this award are that the product is saleable and can inject value back into the industry.

De’Longhi’s latest fully automatic is the PrimaDonna XS. De’Longhi has redesigned the PrimaDonna frame in order to reduce its benchtop footprint to only 19.5 centimetres wide.

This coffee machine is being launched mid-July 2013 for RRP $1,999, and is expected to be one of De’Longhi’s flagship fully automatics during its key Father’s Day and Christmas Day periods.

Here is how a De’Longhi spokesperson described the PrimaDonna XS:

“The Italian made PrimaDonna XS allows coffee lovers the luxury of choice, all the way from the bean to cup. After choosing their favourite beans, coffee lovers need only press a single button for even the most complex of orders. Whether it is a latte, double-strength espresso or flat white, and whether the milk is skim, soy or full cream and frothed manually or automatically; the choice is up to the user.”
