Along with the Galaxy S5, Samsung announced the Australian prices and availability for three new pieces of wearable hardware last night after their launch in February this year.
The Samsung Gear Fit is a “fitness coach at your finger tips,” with a built-in heart rate monitor and pedometer it keeps track of your activities throughout the day. It is resistant to water, rain, sweat, dust and sand and is compatible with Samsung Galaxy smartphones, making it possible to receive notifications for emails, texts, incoming calls and apps. The Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are Samsung’s new smartwatches to keep you connected to your Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Like the Gear Fit they are water, rain, sweat, dust and sand resistant and features like a heart rate monitor, a pedometer and the S Health app support your fitness goals. They have a 1.63” Super AMOLED screen that can be customised changing the design of your clock, digital watch face wallpapers and fonts or change the straps (sold separately) to match the Gear 2 with your personal style. The new Gear range will be available to purchase at the Samsung Experience Stores in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as major consumer electronics retailers across Australia from April 11, 2014.
