Electrolux has launched its newest compact and colourful capsule coffee machine, the Lavazza A Modo Mio Éspria, just in time for Mother’s Day.
The sleek design uses Lavazza capsules, capitalising on their Italian partner’s reputation for quality coffee. Lavazza has created eight blends ranging from smooth and creamy ‘Dolcemente’ to a strong, dark and full-bodied ‘Apassionatamente’.
Electrolux product marketing manager, Marine Prestel told Appliance Retailer what’s inside the capsule is a big draw for consumers.
“We, at Electrolux and Lavazza, believe that the beauty of the capsule coffee concept remains in the ability to ensure that consumers will get the best quality shot of coffee each and every time. Therefore, it is what is actually inside the capsules and the way the coffee has been processed that should remain as the major drive for consumers,” she said.

The Lavazza A Modo Mio Éspria by Electrolux has recently been awarded two international design awards, the iF Design Award for outstanding design and the Plus X Award which honours products that are innovative and possess at least one “Plus X” factor.
The machine features an adjustable stainless steel drip tray that can be easily adjusted to three different cup heights — small, medium and large.
The A Modo Mio Éspria is available in Ebony Black and Love Red for RRP $149.
Another recent compact and colourful addition to the capsule coffee machine market is Nespresso’s Inissia, released with machine partners De’Longhi and Breville. Even with a $60 cash back offer, the Inissia is a more expensive option than the A Modo Mio Éspria, at RRP $249.
