As an official partner of Mercedes AMG Petronas, Epson is letting the Formula One Team play with its toys, specifically providing its Moverio BT-200 smartglasses for use before, during and after the Formula One Grand Prix.
The two companies will work together throughout the Formula One season, which begins with the Australian Grand Prix on 15 March 2015, using the smartglasses during testing, research and development to benefit the team.
Espons says Moverio BT-200 augmented reality smartglasses are well suited for sports, entertainment, manufacturing and the medical industry with each lens having its own display, right in the field of vision, projected into the user’s surroundings. They are currently being used by some of Australia’s top education and research organisations including the CSIRO, the University of Western Sydney and Griffith University.
