Sydney-based, Audio Visual Revolution (AVR), is now the distributor for the French loudspeaker brand, Cabasse, with the first items of stock shipping at the end of July.
Tony Ingrisano, product manager for AVR, said the Cabasse products “…will include the new and exciting Stream AMP,” adding AVR prides itself in bringing Australian consumers class-leading products from a selection of the better international brands.
“We firmly believe these products offer exceptional value and performance both to the end user as well as to our valued dealer network,” he added. “They are the result of years, in some instances over 80 years, of research and development by specialist manufacturers and their respective engineering teams, which are totally focused on the audio visual category.”
Cabasse has a distinctive French pedigree dating back to the time the company was started in 1950. Since then the company has pursued what it calls: ‘…the authentic reproduction of music to bring the true emotion of a concert into your home.’
The loudspeaker company features a coaxial loudspeaker drive unit with a different design, having a doughnut-shaped mid range driver surrounding the soft dome tweeter, as opposed to the more conventional dome and cone arrangement. This, according to Cabasse, is theoretically a better solution because there are no problems associated with the tweeter positioned at the centre of the mid-range cone.
