Alongside new brand identity.
The latest model in the Ecovacs floorcare range, the Deebot Ozmo 950, has made its debut at this year’s IFA in Berlin and has been awarded the IFA Product Technical Innovation Award.
The Deebot Ozmo 950 will be launching in Australia in October (local pricing and availability is yet to be confirmed) with new multi-floor mapping technology and an industry leading three hour battery life. Its upgraded Smart Navi 3.0 Laser Mapping and Navigation Technology and Ozmo Mopping Technology deliver enhanced mobility for navigating obstacles and cleaning hard-to-reach areas.
Multi-floor mapping technology scans and stores multiple maps of a house’s different levels. The Deebot Ozmo 950 then customises the cleaning process once identifying the map for their current location, providing more precise mapping and a thorough cleaning experience.
Further, the new flagship introduces a revolutionary pressure-retention system, Floating Brush 2.0, and superior suction power. The pressure-retention system boosts energy efficiency while ensuring high vacuum pressure at a low noise level. The Floating Brush 2.0 design enables the robot to sweep up to 4mm deep cracks, while Max+ mode increases suction power to tackle stubborn dirt.
The Deebot Ozmo 950 can be paired with the Ecovacs Home App and is compatible with other smart home devices, including Amazon Echo and Google Home. Using the app, users can easily create virtual boundaries, not only for vacuuming, but also for mopping, with the ability to assign cleaning areas, set cleaning schedules and switch between cleaning modes.
Ecovacs Robotics Australia and New Zealand country manager, Karen Powell said, “Ecovacs Robotics designed the Deebot Ozmo 950 to meet growing consumer demand for a smarter, more affordable vacuum robot with premium features that include vacuuming, mopping and smart-home capabilities and we are excited to be launching this shortly in Australia.”
In addition to the Deebot Ozmo 950, Ecovacs unveiled its refreshed identity to reflect its emergence as a leading innovator in the global home service robotics industry. The refresh comes as the company celebrates 20 years in business.
Ecovacs Robotics vice president and head of global business, Jonathan Tang said Ecovacs aims to play a key role in the development of the service robotics industry. “The new brand visual identity goes well beyond a logo. It represents Ecovacs’ brand spirit which is innovative and vibrant, as well as our commitment to building an intelligent home service robotics brand.”
