Myer confirmed online growth of more than 800% during its Easter weekend sale, followed by over 300% growth during its Super Weekend offers.
On the Saturday of the Easter Treats sale, home and entertainment orders were up 300% year-on-year, with Breville, Philips and KitchenAid named as the top performing brands.
During the Super Weekend, the homewares category was up 450% year-on-year with Sunbeam among the brands with the highest growth at 1,400%. Total kitchen appliance sales were up 600% year-on-year with top performing brands including Dyson (+400%), Breville (+700%) and Philips (+450%), with Weber experiencing the highest sales growth of 2,000%.
Due to the surge in online demand, Myer re-hired more than 2,000 team members to assist with online fulfilment.
