Amazon Australia frontline employees and partners – those who have been preparing orders in a fulfilment centre, delivering orders to customers’ homes or one of the many roles in between – will receive a thank you bonus for their service.
All frontline employees and partners who were with the company throughout the month of June will receive a bonus up to $2,000 with frontline associates receiving a $1,000 bonus, frontline Amazon leaders receiving a $2,000 bonus and Amazon Flex delivery partners receiving $300 each if they worked more than 10 hours in June.
Amazon senior vice president for operations, Dave Clark sent a message to frontline operations teams announcing the special one-time thank you bonus totalling over US$500 million to show appreciation.
Amazon Australia director of operations, Craig Fuller said, “I am proud of our team of Amazon Associates and Amazon Flex delivery partners who have remained dedicated to serving our customers so they can stay home and stay safe during this unprecedented time. Thank you for your ongoing commitment.”
Last month, Bunnings announced that team members in Australia and New Zealand would receive up to an extra $1,000 as a thank you payment.
