JB Hi-Fi Group CEO, Richard Murray said he was pleased to report very strong comparable sales growth in Australia, even with metro Melbourne store closures.
“Our online businesses have continued to scale and meet customer needs in a period of restrictions that have impacted their ability to visit our stores, This online growth combined with continued sales momentum in stores across the rest of Australia has resulted in a strong start to FY21 and positions us well for the key Christmas trading period,” he said.
The Group did not provide a sales guidance for FY21 due to the ongoing uncertainty of Covid-19.
All JB Hi-Fi stores in metro Melbourne re-opened to customers on Wednesday, welcoming customers in a safe manner and continuing to serve them online with fulfilment by home delivery and contactless click and collect.
