Dyson has unveiled its latest cord-free vacuum cleaner, the Dyson V15 Detect, featuring laser technology to reveal hidden dust and an LCD screen which displays the size and number of particles sucked up.
Integrating a green diode laser into the cleaner head precisely positioned at a 1.5-degree angle creates contrast between dust and the floor. Moving beyond detection, the Dyson V15 Detect is equipped with an acoustic piezo sensor to deliver scientific proof of what is being cleaned by measuring microscopic particles up to 15,000 times a second. Tiny vibrations are then converted to electric signals to show users the dust size and quantity in real-time as they clean.
In default auto mode, the vacuum automatically increases suction power when high concentrations of dust are detected and when dust levels normalise, suction power is reduced to its previous level.
The Hyperdymium motor generates powerful suction while the five-stage filtration captures 99.99% of dust particles down to 0.3 microns to expel cleaner air.
Dyson’s High Torque cleaner head now features 56 polycarbonate teeth that resemble a comb to prevent tangling around the bristles and automatically clears both human and pet hair from the brush bar by spiraling it up into the bin.
Dyson Omni-Glide delivers new way to clean
Dyson has also introduced an all-new compact cord free format with the Dyson Omni-glide designed as a secondary vacuum to clean hard floors.
Featuring the first omnidirectional Fluffy cleaner head that glides forwards, backwards and sideways, the machine floats on four 360-degree stabilising castors to move in all directions to pick up large debris and fine dust more easily.
Engineered with an in-line format with the separation system, motor, filter and handle all aligned, the machine can lie flat to clean tight and hard-to-reach areas such as under the lounge. It has a power button instead of the classic trigger for users to swap hands while navigating obstacles.
Despite the new format, the Dyson Omni-glide maintains core Dyson technologies including a Dyson Hyperdymium motor that spins at up to 105,000rpm and five-stage filtration proprietary technology to capture 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns.
The Dyson Omni-glide comes with three tools including a mini motorised tool, worktop tool and combination tool, as well as a recharging wall dock. The machine offers up to 20 minutes runtime with an additional battery and charger available to purchase separately.
