Samsung Electronics is expanding the availability of Kiosk, an all-in-one solution offering interactive contactless ordering and payment capabilities, which is now available for pre-order in 10 countries, including Australia.
Kiosk provides customers with a simple and interactive way to purchase items while enabling businesses to increase efficiency and reimagine their physical environments.
Powered by Samsung’s System on Chip (SoC) technology, the 24-inch touchscreen removes the need for an external PC. With a modular design, it provides a variety of payment options including a fully integrated EMV terminal cradle in addition to barcode and QR code, as well as a built-in printer and Wi-Fi system.
The Kiosk is designed for any business environment with various installation options including countertop, with stand or wall mounted. It uses three-layer security protection powered by Samsung Knox technology to protect its hardware, payment platform and application, as well as customer information, against external threats such as hacking.
Developers can easily create software applications for the Kiosk through a Linux-based open-source operating system that supports web standard technologies including HTML5, JavaScript and CSS.
