Moochies has introduced its latest smart watch for kids, Odyssey, to give children the freedom to take full advantage of the school holidays.
“After two years of cancelled family trips, closed borders, and lockdowns, the Easter long weekend will be the first real holiday in a long time for many,” Moochies head of Australia and New Zealand, Jock Jones said.
“Kids are yearning for the freedom to run, ride, and explore, but at the same time parents need peace of mind that their children are safe. Moochies watches gives kids all the things they need to stay in touch – like text messaging and video and voice calls – while the free Moochies app allows parents to keep an eye on where they are.”
The Moochies Odyssey offers a range of safety, connectivity, and lifestyle features, including geofencing that automatically sends parents a notification when their child leaves a certain area and GPS tracking.
There is also an SOS/Emergency Contact button for children to call caregivers in case of emergency and Parental Control Safe Contact List for parents to keep an eye on who their kids are in contact with.
The watch is 4G enabled for voice calls, video calls, and messaging, has Bluetooth, and can be used to track steps, monitor heart rate and temperature. It is IP68 rated and boasts an extended battery life.
The Moochies Odyssey Smartphone Watch retails at $249 and is available from Big W, Target, Harvey Norman, and Officeworks.
Sim plans, ranging from $14.95 to $24.95 per month can be activated on the Moochies website, and can be cancelled at any time. The straps are interchangeable and come in a range of colours and designs.
Moochies is plastic-neutral and donates a portion of all sales to non-profit RePurpose Global, which removes and recycles the same weight of plastic Moochies uses in production and distribution.
