US private equity investment firm, Ross Common Capital (RCC) has acquired a majority stake in the owner of PITT Cooking, PCS Holding BV.
Founded in 2009 and headquartered in the Netherlands, PITT Cooking is a manufacturer of handmade integrated cooktops with a patented design that integrates burners into the countertop.
Since 2022, RCC has owned PITT Cooking America (PCA), the US and Canadian distributor for PITT Cooking. The transaction continues RCC’s commitment to the PITT Cooking business and provides the opportunity to accelerate growth and expand the company’s global footprint.
RCC partners, Mark Nichol and Peter Glusker, will assume leadership of the combined entity as co-CEOs. Heather Squire will continue as president of North America and David Crane will move into a global role as senior vice president and global head of sales and business development.
PCS Holding’s management team will remain significant minority investors. Co-founder, Maikel Bink will remain in a key leadership role responsible for sales and business development, while Arold Korst will continue as a board member.
“PITT Cooking has created the most beautiful and design-forward cooktops with unparalleled performance. We’re excited to bring this suite of products to even more homes around the world,” Nichol said.
“We’re delighted to partner with our North American team who not only bring a wealth of global brand-building experience but have also shown their ability to build PITT Cooking in the North American market in a short period of time,” Bink said.
“We are thrilled to join forces with Ross Common Capital and PITT Cooking. We look forward to replicating the strong growth we have created in North America to new markets throughout the globe,” Crane said.
“Australia was our first international market and we love that nearly 10 years later today’s modern Australian customer continues to be engaged with our design led integrated burners. We remain committed to accelerating our growth in Australia especially with our new induction products launching soon.”
