Hitachi Home Appliances recently held the 2023/24 Thailand factory tour, an annual incentive trip designed to acknowledge the top-performing Bing Lee store managers and sales staff.
The exclusive experience, held from August 5th to 9th, 2024, offered a unique opportunity for participants to gain valuable insights into the manufacturing excellence behind Hitachi and Beko products.

This year’s incentive, which ran from December 22, 2023, to April 2, 2024, aimed to drive sales in a challenging market by motivating Bing Lee teams with the chance to explore Hitachi and Beko state-of-the-art facilities.

The tour included a visit to the Arcelik Hitachi refrigeration factory in Kabinburi and, as an added bonus, the Beko refrigeration factory in Rayong, marking the first time Bing Lee teams visited the Beko factory, offering a fresh perspective on the collaboration between Hitachi and Beko.

The incentive trip provided not only recognition for outstanding sales performance but also a deeper understanding of the production processes and innovation that go into the appliances. With some of the newer model Hitachi fridges set to come out of the Beko factory, this tour offered a timely look at the future of Hitachi’s product line-up.

Participants were selected based on their sales achievements, with store managers needing to hit store targets and achieve the highest percentage of Hitachi branded home appliance sales. Sales staff competed for the highest individual sales, with a focus on driving sales of Hitachi branded French Door fridges.

Head office participants on this trip included key figures from Bing Lee – home appliances buyer, Gary Lee, head of training, development and merchandising, Bianca Nursoo and business development manager, Alan Chiu. Their presence underscored the significance of this tour as a learning and growth opportunity for Bing Lee’s team.

Beko representatives included national sales manager, Eddie Gaymer, area manager, Andrew Hodgson and key account manager, Jason Huynh, also joined the trip, further solidifying the partnership between the two companies.
