Hisense has announced that the CanvasTV and PX3 Ultra Short Throw Laser Home Cinema will be arriving in Australia in late September, following both products’ debut at IFA in Berlin.
In a first for Hisense, CanvasTV blends art and technology to elevate living spaces with a sleek design, advanced features and interchangeable frames.
Hisense Australia and New Zealand vice president of sales and marketing, Chris Kotis said, “CanvasTV is more than just a television – it’s a statement piece that combines the best of art and innovation to elevate Australian homes.
“CanvasTV unlocks a new world for Hisense, further enhancing the functionality and innovation behind our home entertainment range. It is designed to be versatile and seamlessly adapt to our customer’s lifestyle. With features such as interchangeable frames and a hi-matte screen, CanvasTV transforms your home into a gallery.”
Art Mode provides access to free artistic masterpieces with a collection of over 1,000 pre-loaded works spanning abstract, modern, and renaissance styles. Users are given the option of uploading their own images and art into CanvasTV. The art library can be accessed via the VIDAA Art app after signing up for a free VIDAA account.
Energy efficiency is at the forefront of the CanvasTV design with power-saving capabilities in Art Mode that automatically adjust brightness and utilise a light sensor to minimise energy consumption. Its motion sensor feature detects when viewers are present and automatically turns off the screen when the room is empty.
CanvasTV’s 4K QLED with Quantum Dot Colour technology delivers over one billion shades of colour, while the Hi-Matte anti-glare display ensures clarity and vibrancy unaffected by ambient light. The multi-channel 2.0.2 surround sound system envelopes viewers in rich, resonant audio.
CanvasTV features the latest iteration of the VIDAA smart operating system; VIDAA U8 which integrates streaming apps including Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, Kayo, Foxtel, Stan, Optus Sport and more.
A precision cut-out in the rear housing accommodates Hisense’s included UltraSlim Wall Mount, enabling the display to lie virtually flat against the wall.
To further enhance the aesthetic appeal of the CanvasTV, it comes with StyleSwap Frames. Each CanvasTV comes with a teak frame and by registering the product with Hisense, consumers can redeem an additional frame in either white or walnut at no extra cost.
The Hisense CanvasTV will be available in 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes for RRP $1,799 and $2,299 respectively.
The new Hisense PX3 Ultra Short Throw Laser Home Cinema is designed for home theatre enthusiasts and now brings next level gaming with certification as part of the world-first ‘Designed for Xbox Limited Series’ collection from Hisense.
“Australians are increasingly being drawn to the highly immersive nature of the big screen laser home cinema experience. The PX3 delivers unmatched realism, depth and exceptional picture and sound, to make watching movies, sport and streaming exciting and memorable. The PX3 now guarantees gamers an unparalleled entertainment experience in an eye-friendly, true-to-life colour and immersive gaming environment,” Kotis said.
The PX3 delivers vivid, lifelike images across a projection size, adjustable from 80-inch to 150-inch, thanks to Hisense’s LPU and TriChroma triple-laser projection technologies. Total HDR and real-time Pro AI algorithms enhance brightness, fine-tune contrast, and eliminate noise.
As the world’s first Xbox-certified ultra-short-throw projector, it promises seamless compatibility, low latency, and optimal visuals. Cinematic sound is delivered via built-in 50-watt front-firing Harman Kardon speakers, combined with Dolby Atmos.
The PX3 reaches 110% of the BT.2020 colour space to display a spectrum of colours that surpass conventional projectors. With 2,800 ANSI lumens of brightness, Dolby Vision, and a native contrast ratio of 3,000:1, the PX3 delivers depth, subtle nuances, and sharp picture performance even in well-lit rooms.
The PX3 features a built-in TV tuner to enjoy free-to-air live TV channels. With the VIDAA smart operating system, users can access streaming apps including Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, Kayo, Foxtel, Stan, Optus Sport and more.
Easy to set-up and needing to be only inches from the wall, the ultra short throw design not only maximises space, but offers versatility to suit a variety of rooms and screen set-ups. The PX3 is designed with zero blue light emission, being awarded with a Low Blue Light (Hardware Solution) certification by TÜV Rheinland.
The PX3 comes with a solar-powered remote, which was awarded an iF Design Award and Red Dot Award winner for 2024. The remote can stay charged through ambient light, promoting an eco-friendly design and reducing electronic waste.
The Hisense PX3 will be available for RRP $4,499.
