Samsung Electronics Australia has launched the new Galaxy Fit3 fitness tracker featuring the company’s advanced health monitoring technology.

The Galaxy Fit3 boasts an aluminium body with a 1.6-inch display, 45% wider than the previous model, to keep track of health and wellness data, plus a long battery life of up to 13 days.

Samsung Australia Mobile eXperience head of wearables, Kylie Mason said, “At Samsung, we’re committed to providing Australians with advanced health monitoring tools and accessible resources to help them along their wellness journey.

“We’ve seen Australians’ growing interest in gaining a comprehensive understanding of their health and wellbeing, and with our newest dedicated fitness tracker, the Galaxy Fit3, we mark another step towards providing a smarter and more enhanced connected snapshot.”

With the Galaxy Fit3, users can select a watch face from over 100 presets or set their own photos as the background. Users can also mix and match bands with a one-click button.

Users can track over 100 types of workouts and review exercise records and health metrics including heart rate and stress levels. A 5ATM rating and IP68-rated water and dust resistance means users can enjoy outdoor activities in a variety of environments.

At night, the Galaxy Fit3 can track sleep patterns, even detecting snoring and monitoring blood oxygen levels to provide more detailed measurements. Based on individual sleep patterns, the Galaxy Fit3 provides personalised Sleep Coaching with key insights. When users don’t want to be disturbed, they can automatically sync modes between their Galaxy Fit and paired smartphone.

Safety features including Fall Detection and Emergency SOS have been newly added to the Galaxy Fit3. When an abnormal fall is detected, the Galaxy Fit3 gives users the option to call emergency services for medical support. When users are in an emergency, they can send an SOS by pressing the side button five times.

In addition, the Galaxy Fit3 can be used as a remote control for a smartphone camera when taking photos and setting timers with Camera Remote, and to play and control media on their connected device. If a smartphone is misplaced, users can locate it with the Find My Phone feature on the Galaxy Fit3, or vice versa.

The Galaxy Fit3 is available in Grey and Pink Gold, for $149 from the Samsung Australia website and select retail partners.
