Harris Scarfe is celebrating its 175th anniversary with a week of ‘unmissable deals’. An integrated marketing campaign, including a catalogue to over one million households, will launch this event.
Harris Scarfe CEO, Graham Dean said very few Australian retailers can proudly celebrate 175 years of trading.
“We’re tremendously excited to achieve this huge milestone by bringing our loyal customers unmissable deals on all the great brands they love,” he said.
The campaign, running from November 2 to 9, will be supported by free-to-air TV commercials across key markets in Victoria, South Australia, regional New South Wales, Tasmania and South-East Queensland, extensive digital and radio spots and social media outreach.
“We were established in South Australia in 1849 and have experienced our share of highs and lows, but we continue to grow by always putting our customers’ needs first,” Dean said.
Under the ownership of the Spotlight Group since 2020, Harris Scarfe has since experienced record revenue, with half of its 60 outlets achieving their highest ever sales in the past year.
Harris Scarfe had 42 outlets shortly after its acquisition. A re-vamp of its stores and strategy has driven Harris Scarfe onto a trajectory of sustained growth.
Dean said Harris Scarfe’s vision of “helping Australians feel proud about themselves and their homes” has helped navigate challenging times.
“We scored five out of five stars in all categories in Canstar Blue’s most recent rating of customer satisfaction in the Australian retail sector and outperforming major department stores.”
