SYDNEY, NSW: Cisco has this morning announced the appointment of Todd Lynton to the position managing director for Cisco Consumer Products for the Australian and New Zealand markets.
In this new role, Lynton will be responsible for the strategy, execution and expansion of Cisco consumer products throughout the region. These products include the Flip Video digital camcorder and the Linksys by Cisco home networking units. Lynton is reporting to Cisco Asia Pacific Consumer Products vice president Craig Gledhill in this role.
“To continue our successes in the Australian and New Zealand consumer markets, it is imperative that this leadership role is filled by someone who shares our vision to bring Cisco Consumer Products to the next level,” said Gledhill.
“Today, I am pleased to announce that Todd Lynton has joined Cisco Consumer Products as the managing director for Australia and New Zealand. With the recent launch of our Flip Video camcorders in this region, it’s the perfect time for Todd to join our team and capitalise on this growing consumer market opportunity.”
Lynton has 19 years experience in the consumer products industry, including 12 years in management roles at Polaroid and Olympus. His most recent position was as director of Special Lights, a premium lighting company.
“Todd has extensive experience and leadership within the consumer electronics industry in the region. He has outperformed sales targets in his previous roles and brings with him a unique skill-set that will be invaluable in driving Cisco’s consumer business in the Australian and New Zealand markets,” said Gledhill.
Lynton holds a Bachelor of Commerce (marketing and finance) from the University of New South Wales.
