Mitsubishi Electric Australia, in partnership with the Western Sydney Wanderers, held a Community Kids Clinic at ANZ stadium in Olympic Park, Sydney. The Kids ‘Kick’-Start a Healthy New Year Coaching Clinic is designed to teach local families the importance of a healthy lifestyle, with a focus on fresh foods and physical activity.
Approximately 150 children from Western Sydney took part in a one-hour coaching clinic with A-League players and Wanderers community coaches. The clinic included basic ball skills, teamwork and game play. Participants were treated to giveaways, including a Mitsubishi Electric Healthy Lifestyle Guide and a general admission ticket to the Wanderers game against Melbourne Victory.
Mitsubishi Electric Australia managing director, Jeremy Needham said the Western Sydney Wanderers worked tirelessly to cultivate a strong sense of community in Western Sydney. “Mitsubishi Electric refrigerator products serve Australian’s appetite for fresh and healthy eating so it’s an honour to play a part in motivating locals to be more involved in the promotion of healthy lifestyles and youth participation. We look forward to continuing our work with the club in the 2018/19 season and beyond,” he said.
Western Sydney Wanderers CEO, John Tsatsimas, said the Community Kids Clinic was an important event to foster the development of local youth sport and healthy eating. “As one of our longest-serving partners, we are continuously inspired by the unwavering commitment Mitsubishi Electric Australia has to promoting a healthy lifestyle.”
