Brother Industries, parent company of Brother International Australia, has been included in the 2020 World’s Best Employer’s list by Forbes magazine in partnership with German market research firm, Statista.
Ranking 130th among 750 multinationals and corporations across 45 countries, it is the first time Brother has been placed since the list was introduced in 2016.
Brother Industries president, Ichiro Sasaki described the inclusion as a “testament to the company’s values and commitment to employees”.
The ranking for the list was based on survey results from June and July this year, provided by 160,000 full-time and part-time workers across 58 countries. Respondents rated their willingness to recommend their own employers to family and friends as well as their response to the COVID-19 pandemic and other aspects such as image, economic footprint, talent development, gender quality and social responsibility.
The Brother Group has introduced a multitude of Covid-19 related safety measures across locations globally, including distribution of face masks to essential employees and making necessary process and policy updates to keep employees safe.
Brother International Australia group general manager for sales, product and marketing, Andy O’Donnell said the company’s customer service begins with nurturing staff by motivating, rewarding and recognising employees.
“By prioritising our people and their growth, we foster a positive environment that reflects in the quality of our products, solutions and services, and customer experience. This is a pivotal moment for the Brother Group, and we are very proud of the organisation globally.”
