The doors of Canon’s new Brisbane office were opened last week by Canon Oceania’s managing director, Yusuke Mizoguchi. The move follows last years similar relocation of the Sydney team in North Ryde to a new custom built office in Macquarie Park where the company first embarked on a shift to high-performance working.
At the launch in Brisbane last week, and the company’s HR and Communications Director, Effie Fox, described how Canon’s new Queensland HQ reflects the workplace.
According to Mizoguchi, Canon believes the workplace of the future is tailored to individual working styles to drive maximum outcomes. He said that employees are “at the heart” of the Canon brand and the workplace revolution was driven by the understanding that business culture, reputation, innovation and prosperity lies in the hands of Canon’s employees.
The new high performance workplace is in line with research carried out by Canon Oceania, including an observational study to profile different worker styles to create an optimal environment for employees to reach their full potential.
“Canon’s investment in the new Brisbane premises clearly shows our commitment to the Queensland market, and of course to our broad range of Queensland based customers,” Mizoguchi said.
