Canon has introduced three new products designed for content creators: the PowerShot V1, EOS R50 V, and RF-S 14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ lens.
The PowerShot V1 is a compact, pocket-sized camera that offers 4K video recording with a 60p option and Full HD 120p for slow-motion shots. It features a 16-50mm lens, a large 1.4-inch sensor for low-light shooting, and intelligent autofocus using Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II technology.
At 429g, the camera offers a smooth, stabilised shooting experience and includes a built-in microphone with noise reduction, along with external mic support.
The EOS R50 V is an interchangeable lens camera aimed at creators looking for more control over their footage. It supports 4K recording with 6K oversampling, Canon Log 3 for colour grading, and Dual Pixel CMOS AF II for precise focus.
This camera is designed for a range of content, from cinematic projects to livestreaming, and offers a vari-angle touchscreen and dedicated LIVE button for easy solo shooting.
The RF-S 14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ lens, paired with the EOS R50 V, features Canon’s first internal power zoom for smooth focal transitions, along with stabilisation for shake-free footage.
The new products will be available in Australia starting in late April, with prices set at $1449 for the PowerShot V1, $1169 for the EOS R50 V, and $1499 for the EOS R50 V lens kit.
The RF-S 14-30mm lens will be available from June for $579.
