The Heller 2000W fan heater — which was recalled by Bunnings last week — is also being recalled by daily deals website Catch of the Day.
The oscillating fan heater poses a risk of fire or burns because it does not comply with the flammability requirements of the Australian standard. According to the ACCC recall notice, the internal wiring may be loose and could make contact with moving parts.
The product was sold online at catchoftheday.com.au, mumgo.com.au and scoopon.com.au from 20 May 2014 to 20 September 2014.
The Heller 2000W heater, model number FHH20A, was last week recalled from Bunnings for the same defect.
Consumers should stop using the heater immediately and unplug it.
