LG has unveiled its latest Lifestyle Screen product, the Transparent OLED, at its CES booth in Las Vegas, as the company celebrates 10 years of producing OLED TVs.
LG also released the world’s first wireless OLED TV with Zero Connect technology at this year’s CES, alongside its broader OLED TV range.
The transparent glass of the Transparent OLED screen sets itself apart from conventional TVs with the ability to be placed virtually anywhere, even in the middle of the living room or in front of a window.
Delivering a new type of user experience, its transparent gallery mode showcases art that interacts with the surrounding space. In black mode, the TV provides an OLED viewing environment, no matter where it is installed or the type of content.
To demonstrate its other Lifestyle Screen products, LG delivered an exclusive experience in partnership with premium Dutch lifestyle brand, Moooi, to present a seamless integration of technology, interior and lifestyle.
The LG OLED Objet Collection provides a unique aesthetic, coupled with greater spatial and decorating flexibility. The LG OLED Objet Collection Easel resembles an art easel and can be installed leaning against the wall. It features a distinctive, movable cover finished with fabric by luxury Danish textile brand, Kvadrat.
The Easel’s sibling, LG OLED Objet Collection Posé, works as a premium screen and furniture piece. The TV prioritises flexible installation and can be moved from one place to another. When it is not being used for watching movies or shows, the TV can be switched to Gallery mode for showcasing works of art. Another product in the Lifestyle Screen family, LG OLED Flex boasts a bendable screen that can be adjusted from flat to a 900R curvature.
A display companion for the home, LG StanbyME can be relocated from room to room thanks to its moving stand design and built-in battery for cordless use.
“In the home entertainment space, the key message from LG is with 10 years of OLED innovation behind us, we’re looking to continuing our leadership and provide as many Australians as many options as possible in the OLED category – small screens, big screens, flexible screens and lifestyle screens,” LG Australia marketing manager for home entertainment, Tony Brown told Appliance Retailer.
