“Word-of-mouth is a big part of what drives the Cricut business”, regional head Nicola Dow Smith (pictured) told Appliance Retailer.
Speaking at a media event for the global launch of the Cricut Joy Xtra, Dow Smith said: “This is our first new cutting machine launch for three years, prior to this it has been attachments to existing models.”
The new product enables Cricut to reach the mass market as it is portable and easy to use, she said. “You don’t need to be fully invested in making…if you just want to get started or not sure how often you are going to use it then this is the perfect sized machine as the bundle contains all the tools and materials you will need.”
As well as the Smart Cutting machine, the specially curated bundle carries a variety of new accessories and materials, including the addition of premium printables including Printable Sticker Paper, Printable Vinyl, Printable Waterproof Sticker Sets, and Printable Iron-On, all in convenient A4 size.
“It represents good value and the product will be supported by promotion offers in the key pre-Christmas selling period including Black Friday,” she said.
Displays at the event showcased the versatility of the Cricut Joy Xtra when it comes to creating resources for schools, celebrations, gifts or business.
Available as a Harvey Norman exclusive, the Joy Xtra starter bundle is RRP $429 and includes over $100 worth of consumables.
