Cricut Maker 4 and Cricut Explore 4

Creative DIY company Cricut has introduced its new Cricut Maker 4 and Cricut Explore 4 smart cutting machines. 

Included in the Cricut Maker 4 is a premium fine-point blade that can precisely cut over 300 materials including vinyl, iron-on (HTV), and paper. 

The Cricut Maker 4 can also write, score, foil, engrave, emboss and more, when paired with 12 separately sold tools such as Cricut’s deep point blade, bonded fabric blade, knife blade, foil transfer kit, pens and markers, scoring stylus, single and double scoring wheels, rotary blade, wavy blade, engraving tip, debossing tip, and perforation blade. 

Meanwhile, the Cricut Explore 4 includes a premium fine-point blade to precisely cut over 100 materials. 

It can also write, draw, score and foil if paired with five separately sold tools namely bonded fabric blade, scoring stylus, deep-point blade, foil transfer tool, and pens and markers. 

Users of Cricut Maker 4 and Cricut Explore 4 can access Cricut’s free Design Space which offers basic fonts and images to create and customise projects. 

A paid subscription is available to access over 1000 project templates and priority member care, along with other design features, more fonts and images. 

Cricut also offers Smart Materials, which load directly into the machine to create long, continuous cuts up to 12 feet. 

A purchase of each smart cutting machine will include three samples of 13 inches x 6 inches Smart Vinyl, two samples of 11 inches x 4.25 inches Cardstock, one 4 inches x 6 inches Smart Iron-on, two sheets of 12 inches x 6 inches of transfer tape, a LightGrip machine mat, a 0.4 black fine point pen, and a mini weeder. 

Cricut Explore 4 and Cricut Maker 4 are available for $499 and $699, respectively, at Harvey Norman and Spotlight AU in Australia. 

Cricut Explore 4 is sold for $599 while Cricut Maker 4 costs $799 at Harvey Norman and Spotlight NZ in New Zealand.
