Toll Holdings seeks legal action.

Transport and logistics business, Toll Holdings, which was acquired by Japan Post in 2015, is in a legal dispute with Dick Smith and the China manufacturer of its TVs and other entertainment products, Shenzhen. Toll has initiated action in the Federal Court against Ferrier Hodgson partner, James Stewart, due to unpaid bills for six shipments of gadgets set to be delivered to Dick Smith stores.

Court documents reportedly show that Toll is seeking “an urgent hearing in court as the parties dispute the payment and delivery of six shipments of consumer electronics goods” that would have been sold through Dick Smith.

Toll is seeking direction or relief with respect to the detention, storage and handling charges being incurred or that might be incurred pending the resolution of the dispute, court documents lodged with the Federal Court claim.
