Australian manufacturer and importer Viano is looking forward to another round of meetings with dealers from around the world when it sets up its stall at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) next month on the island megalopolis.
Widely regarded as the world’s largest electronics marketplace, the Fair brings together sourcing agents, manufacturers, buyers, retailers, analysts and onlookers for four days of frenetic merchantry. While the show is a mecca for Australian retail buyers and product managers withing suppliers, it is extremely uncommon for Australian companies to actually have a stand, bringing together East, West and Down Under.
Fabio Grassia, managing director of Viano Corporation, said his company secured significant business from around the globe at the last Electronics Fair, held in April, and was looking to replicate that with Viano’s latest range of TVs, tablets and smartphones.
“We had a great success in April capturing many new customers from the Middle East and South America and turning them into orders,” Grassia said.
Viano has its own factory in southern China, which has been assembling TVs for the past six years. Some retailers and consumers may know Viano by its previous name, Vivo. Since rebranding to Viano, the company has expanded to offer a range of Android-powered smartphones and tablets. In addition to this brand, Viano also OEMs products for private label brands.
“Our focus now is 100 per cent on televisions, tablets and smartphones as we see this as the growth market throughout the world,” Grassia said.
Appliance Retailer will be reporting live from the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), 13-16 October 2014.
